Inside Plant (ISP) Equipment Engineer

We are looking for individuals with a telecom ISP equipment engineering background. A qualified candidate is required to possess telecom equipment knowledge pertaining to current industry systems. This individual would be responsible for the creation of Detail Engineering Designs for Telecom technologies including but not limited to Ethernet routers, transport ROADM and packet optical nodes, DSLAM technologies, Metro-Ethernet customer equipment, and FTTH Nokia OLT and NG4 deployments.

OSP Fiber Fielder - Metro-E

The telecom Fiber Fielder - Metro-E will perform a variety of tasks in support of outside plant design for various telecommunication installations at customer sites. This individual should have a basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in electrical, telecom and/or civil field work and will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Travel to commissioned work sites in the Seattle Market and survey telecom assets such as:

Central Office Equipment (COE) Fielder/Inspector

We are looking for Central Office Equipment (COE) fielders/inspectors within the Northwest (Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington), to assist with installation of network equipment and related circuits. Our immediate need is one person to cover western Washington and Oregon, and a second person covering eastern Washington and Oregon, as well as Idaho. Work includes fiber, transport equipment and other equipment in central offices and remote sites. Experience in planning copper and fiber optic network additions and estimating OSP projects by detail; Familiarity with Broadband Serving Area Design; Creating engineering projects placing equipment that supports Ethernet and broadband DSLAM installations and the design of the fiber and copper facilities, associated with them as well as facilitating their completion through local construction and operations resources; Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical specifications, professional documentation and blueprints; Demonstrated skill in the use of AutoCAD, MicroStation, MS Office Suite, Pole Analysis software, GPS handheld systems, and other industry-related hardware and software; Previous experience using telecommunications engineering systems such as: Infinium, M6, FROGS/Spatial Engineer (AutoCAD based GIS), DPI/Endeavor and Varasset preferred; Ability to write reports, correspondence and documentation; Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers and other employees of the organization; Some out of town travel and overnight travel may be required; Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record; OSP Experience working for telecom companies like Ziply Fiber, Frontier, Lumens (CTL), AT&T, or other telecom companies is a plus; A Bachelors' or associate degree in a relevant field of Engineering or IT, and/or three to five years of related experience (technical knowledge of the Telecommunications industry and construction practices).
